David Brian Plummer.
Sept 11th 1936 - Sept 12th 2003

It is with deep regret that I am reporting on the death of the Breed founder and Honorary Life President of the PTCGB, Brian Plummer.

Although proudly holding the position, towards the end of his life, the name 'Honorary Life President' gave him a strange cause of 'amusement', especially the ' Life' bit , he joked about it many times.

Brian died the morning of September 12th, the day following his birthday, after a losing a long fight with aesophagal cancer which was diagnosed in November 2002.
His relationship with Legion kennels (his final breeding programme) and with the club has been one of constant support.

Brian Plummer created not only the Plummer Terriers, he immortalised them alongside himself, his books, articles and writings. He gave them exposure and publicity, that alone, gave them a popularity which has rapidly grown.

Without Brian's help and support the PTCGB would never have come so far.
He wanted to see Plummer Terrier as an instantly recognisable breed , he wanted to see them hailed and promoted as versatile, agile, obedient and also the most beautiful terriers in the world. He wasn't wrong !

The aim of the Plummer Terrier club of Great Britain is to do just that.

Brian Plummer will always be, to his wife, family, friends, readers and enthusiasts of the breeds he created, sadly missed, never forgotten.
